SCANIA presents natural gas coach at the RDA Group Travel Expo 2019 in Friedrichshafen

The travel trade fair for bus and group tourism on Lake Constance is fully booked as in the previous year with over 386 exhibitors from 24 nations. Exciting presentations, new tourism impulses and impressive technical innovations ensure that the event is highly attractive. On 2 + 3 April 2019, 386 exhibitors, 70 of them new exhibitors alone, from 24 nations will present trends and innovations for the 2020 travel season on an area of 10,000 m² in Hall A1 of Messe Friedrichshafen.

Exciting lectures by top-class experts on current topics make the travel trade fair on Lake Constance an important meeting point for decision-makers in the coach and group tourism industry. Lively travel presentations on attractive destinations for coach and group tourism will give organisers, product managers and travel buyers a wealth of ideas that will enrich their own 2020 travel programme.

"This year, the travel content presented will be especially those that bring the culture to life through active participation," stresses Benedikt Esser, Managing Director of RDA Expo GmbH. The motto living culture describes cultural experiences of a special kind, which can make coach and group travel a beautiful and individual experience for every travel guest. This includes, for example, special themed tours that take the travel guest on a kind of journey through time through historical cities or culinary activities such as the preparation and creation of Alsatian tarte flambée.

The manufacturer SCANIA is presenting a technical delicacy: At the RDA Group Travel Expo in Friedrichshafen, the Wolfsburg-based company is presenting the first SCANIA coach powered by natural gas, which is ready for series production and can further improve the already good emission values of diesel-powered coaches. This will provide the entire industry with an ultra-modern vehicle that will set standards in terms of emission reduction, especially for intercity and day trips.
