The Spessart Nature Park - Forest and Cycling/ Hiking Paradise

The Spessart region offers a wide range of tourist activities and is particularly popular with active holidaymakers.

A group trip to the Spessart region can be designed individually. After all, it is the largest contiguous mixed forest area in Germany - many small villages, hiking and cycling trails as well as old ruins offer numerous activities for all generations. Above all, enthusiasts of unspoilt nature and wildlife are in exactly the right place in the Spessart - the 2,400 km² of green space are home to a number of forest residents that is unique in Germany.

Group travel in the Spessart - your very own way

The Spessart region offers a wide range of tourist activities and is particularly popular with active tourists. The eastern Spessart in particular, situated on the River Main, combines picturesque forest valleys with the course of the waterway. Hiking and cycling trails of varying degrees of difficulty are embedded in the natural landscape everywhere.

Excursion destinations can be found in many towns with old half-timbered buildings and well-preserved inner cities. After an impressive day, you can indulge in the culinary delights of the honest Franconian cuisine - of course, Franconian wine from the "Bocksbeutel" is indispensable.

Mountain bikes and cyclists
The Spessart and the neighbouring wine-growing region of Main-Franconia are excellently equipped for two-wheelers of all kinds. For many years, the entire region has therefore been in demand among cycling enthusiasts. Thanks to the gentle gradients of the low mountain range, the forest can be easily explored on mountain bikes or e-bikes. Those who like a bit more action can ride the forest mountain bike trails. For cyclists who like to take it a little easier, the Main cycle path is a good choice. The very well-developed and multi-award-winning cycle path runs flat along the river bank and is therefore popular with cyclists of all ages.

Your base stations
