At www.busgruppeninfo.de, coach operators can find everything they need to plan a trip in just a few clicks: Destinations, hotels, restaurants, excursion destinations, tourist information as well as incoming agencies and package tour operators.
Shortly after the turn of the millennium, Bernd Müller was still trawling through piles of catalogues in search of travel ideas. The coach tour operator from Bösingen would have liked to have spent his time more usefully. It is true that tourism service providers were increasingly sending out their offers by e-mail and posting them on the Internet. Nevertheless, it was still time-consuming to find saved files and information on many different websites. That's why Müller asked an IT specialist for help. Together with Steffen Hemberger from the company Hitcom, he developed a digital platform for coach tourism.
"After many long discussions and hours of programming, we presented our portal at the RDA workshop in Cologne in April 2004," recalls the innovative entrepreneur. "That was the beginning of the www.busgruppeninfo.de success story ."
There are now more than 3,000 service providers for coach and group tourism on the portal. Bernd Müller has also created another platform, www.gruppenreiseninfo.de, where travel agencies, clubs and business trip organisers can find group-specific programmes, restaurants, excursion destinations, tourist information and accommodation. These websites are also connected to www.bus1.de via a common interface. This value-added platform of the Gütegemeinschaft Buskomfort (gbk) connects coach tour operators with their partners. "Together, these three portals record more than 350,000 hits per month," says Bernd Müller happily.
The positive development of busgruppeninfo.de is a reason to celebrate. That's why Bernd Müller and his team are inviting visitors to the RDA Group Travel Expo at Koelnmesse to a get-together at their stand on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
